89. October 1, 2005, AL East Clincher, Fenway Park: Yankees 8, Red Sox 4. The Sox turned the tables the next day, to clinch the Wild Card. Everyone was looking forward to a 3rd straight ALCS between them, but both teams lost their ALDS.

90. September 20, 2006, AL East Clincher, Rogers Centre: Blue Jays 3, Yankees 2, but the Red Sox lost to the Twins, so the Yanks backed in.

I was actually at this game, my 1st chance to attend a Yankee clincher of any kind. But Joe Torre started kids, and they came close to getting it done. I got back on the bus at Toronto Coach Terminal not knowing what the Red Sox had done, since they were in Minnesota and an hour behind us. It wasn't until I woke up at the Customs station at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo that I pulled out my Walkman and found out what happened.

(We had the Internet then, but not really social media: Twitter had been founded in March, YouTube the year before, and Facebook the year before that, and hardly anybody was using any of them yet.)

92. September 27, 2009, AL East Clincher, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees 4, Red Sox 2. The 1st clincher at the new Stadium wasn't quite full revenge for 2004, but it felt great, even in Williamsburg, Virginia, where I was on that hot Sunday afternoon.

93. October 11, 2009, ALDS, Metrodome: Yankees 4, Twins 1.

94. October 25, 2009, ALCS Game 6, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees 5, Los Angeles Angels 2.

97. October 9, 2010, ALDS, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees 6, Twins 1.

98. September 21, 2011, AL East Clincher, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees sweep doubleheader from Rays, both games ending 4-2, the 2nd game clinching.

99. October 3, 2012, AL East Clincher, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees 14, Red Sox 2. That one felt pretty good.

100. October 12, 2012, ALDS, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees 3, Orioles 1.

101. October 1, 2015, AL Wild Card Clincher, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees 4, Red Sox 1. The Yankees, who led the AL East by 7 games on July 28, thus finally, with 3 games to spare, clinch a berth in the AL Wild Card play-in game. It is also the 10,000th win in franchise history. And the cherry on the sundae is that it comes against the Auld Enemy, a.k.a. The Scum.

102. September 23, 2017, AL Wild Card Clincher, Rogers Centre: Yankees 5, Blue Jays 1.

103. October 3, 2017, AL Wild Card Game, Yankee Stadium II: Yankees 8, Twins 4.

104. October 11, 2017, ALDS Game 5, Progressive Field, Cleveland: Yankees 5, Indians 2.
