issued 80th or 90th Anniversary patches.
Apparently, the Hartford Whalers never used a 20th or 25th Anniversary patch.
And the 25th season, 1996-97, was the last.

Maybe the Carolina Hurricanes are waiting for
the 2017-18 season to celebrate their 20th Anniversary.
Apparently, they didn't feel like celebrating
a 10th Anniversary in 2009. By 2011, they were gone.
Celebrating the rebirth of the new Jets, not the birth of the old ones.
