Santa Claus is a superhero. Think about it:
* He makes the impossible happen, although with magic rather than what most of us would call "super-powers."
* He has an easily identifiable costume.
* He has a secret identity: Kris Kringle.
* He has a hideout, at the North Pole, which is also where Superman's Fortress of Solitude is said to be.
* He can't fly on his own, but he has a vehicle that gives the Batmobile a run for its money when it comes to coolness. Why, it may even be able to turn invisible, like Wonder Woman's plane, which explains why the U.S. and Royal Canadian Air Forces can't find it.
* He doesn't have a single sidekick, but he has the reindeer and the elves.
* He has a catchphrase: "Ho, ho, ho!"
* Instead of evil or self-interest, he uses his abilities for the good of humanity.
* He's certainly had plenty of movies made about him, some of which include an origin story, although there's disagreements about them.
* Which brings me to this, and this might not be a selling point: He's been around for a long time, with many different interpretations of what people think he should be, like some superheroes.
So I think he counts.

Also he's immortal and may have an ability to travel to different dimensions.
