Three tight games at Fenway Park. The Yankees could have lost them all. They could have won them all. In the end, they won only one, because, in the best hitter's park in the game -- yes, you idiot Met fans, better than Yankee Stadium II, hell, even easier than Camden Yards until last season -- they just didn't get the job done.

Andújar in the 5th, breaking up a perfect game for Michael Wacha; a subsequent walk by Isiah Kiner-Falefa, threat ended by a groundout by weak-hitting Kyle Higashioka; and a single by Andrew Benintendi in the 6th, followed by umpire-aided strikeouts for Aaron Judge and Josh Donaldson. That's it: Just 3 baserunners.
Jameson Taillon pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and no walks. Jonathan Loáisiga, who really needed the boost of confidence, pitched a perfect inning of relief at Fenway. So don't blame the pitchers.

There are 7 weeks left in the regular season. The Yankees remain in 1st place in the American League Eastern Division 10 games ahead of the Toronto Blue Jays. But they trail the Houston Astros for home-field advantage in the Playoffs by 2 1/2 games.
Since July 8, we are 11-20. That is pathetic.
