They also could have used better performances from Corey Kluber. Since his return from injury, he had gone 4 innings all 4 times, and had a bad inning in each of the 4, usually the 4th. This time, though, against the Cleveland Indians at Yankee Stadium II, he was good, and he was tough. He pitched 6 shutout innings, allowing 4 runs and 2 walks, but struck out 4, and worked out of jams in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th, inducing ground balls for double plays in the latter 2.
